April sees the end of Vista
As of April 10, 2012, Windows Vista Home Premium, Vista Starter, Vista Basic and Vista Ultimate will have reached their end of life-cycle. This means that Microsoft will no longer be supporting these Operating Systems or release security updates and hotfixes. These Operating Systems will still function normally, however, without these
updates and hotfixes, they will be vulnerable to malicious attacks.
If you are using any of these operating systems, it is recommended that you upgrade to a newer Operating System. You can do this by purchasing a Windows
Upgrade either through a retail store or through Windows Anytime Upgrade. You can also purchase a new PC that has a newer Operating System pre-installed.
Windows Vista Business and Enterprise editions will have an Extended Support until April 11, 2017.
